About Jessica

Jessica Colby joined First Business Bank’s Kansas City team as a Private Wealth Advisor in February of 2021. She has worked in the financial services and banking industry for over 25 years, with a focus on Private Wealth for the last 10 years. Jessica works with a diverse client group, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners and their families, institutional investors, and non-profit organizations. She provides an unparalleled client experience in all aspects of the relationship, from banking and lending to Trust and Investment services. 

As a Private Wealth Advisor, Jessica helps investors, business owners, and their families by providing proactive, holistic advice and services, including banking, lending, financial planning, investment management, and estate and succession planning designed and customized to meet each client’s specific needs and goals. 

Jessica earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Drury University (Springfield, MO) in 2001 where she also played soccer on their women’s team for four years. Jessica is very involved in Kansas City, both philanthropically and professionally. She leads the American Heart Association's Executive Leadership Board for Go Red For Women as Chair for the 2026 Kansas City Go Red For Women Luncheon and has also been a member of Circle of Red for the last five years. Jessica also serves as Board Chair of the Alzheimer's Association - Heart of America Chapter, dedicated to raising funds for research, education, support, and awareness in the 65 counties they serve. 

Jessica was recently appointed to serve on the Advisory Council for the Liberty Hospital Foundation providing accessible healthcare and support for patients and their families. 

Mentorship is also a huge passion for Jessica and has been able to live out that passion serving on the Mentorship Committee for CREW KC (Commercial Real Estate Women) dedicate to elevating women working in the commercial real estate industry. 

Jessica grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and has lived and worked in the Kansas City area since 2004. She is married, has one son, two bonus children, and an adorable German Shorthaired Pointer. Her hobbies include golf, travel, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. She also loves attending and watching Kansas City sports.
