Transitioning Back-to-Office

As we emerge from the pandemic, we are continuing to put people first, which means maintaining a dynamic hiring and recruiting process and making changes to reflect the current environment. More and more employees are returning to the office, which, in turn, means we are excited to re-introduce onsite interviews again. We will continue to utilize technology and incorporate video interviewing and virtual onboarding as needed, and we look forward to supporting our employees with expanded flexibility and work options. Giving back is important at First Business Bank — one facet of our commitment to creating robust communities. Our employees dedicate their time and resources to service organizations and non-profit boards across all of our markets, directly impacting their communities. As an organization, we wholeheartedly support making contributions to local charitable organizations in our communities. Each location has a charitable foundation with a corporate contributions committee that evaluates all requests for contributions, and ensures that each need is given thoughtful consideration.

Hiring Process

Impactful employees are engaged, high-achieving professionals, which benefits us, our clients, and you. An intentional hiring process allows candidates and hiring teams to evaluate each other thoughtfully and thoroughly, which leads to confident and successful decisions. Our hiring process includes:

  1. Completing our online application.
  2. Participating in a phone interview with a member of the talent acquisition team.
  3. Completing two brief hiring assessments (sent via email; results are shared with candidates).
  4. Participating in first-round interviews with talent acquisition and hiring teams.
    Participating in second-round interviews with hiring teams and senior-level leaders.
  5. Offer extension.
  6. Background screening and hiring contingency removal.
  7. Onboarding.
